The Crossways in European Humanities Master is a two-year Master programme with the possibility, for suitably qualified applicants, of direct entry into the 2nd year.
The mobility tracks for each student involve 3 of the 7 universities of the Consortium. Students spend the 1st and 3rd semesters in the SAME university, and the 2nd and 4th semesters in TWO other universities of the Consortium.
The two-year mobility pattern is: Sem 1 -Uni A. Sem 2 – Uni B. Sem 3 – Uni A. Sem 4 – Uni C.
Students entering directly into the 2nd year spend the two semesters in two different universities of the Consortium.
The one-year mobility pattern is: Sem 3 – Uni A. Sem 4 – Uni B – "Trailing semester" (i.e. the period stretching from June to December of the same year to be used for the final Dissertation): either or home.
NB - Students choosing to spend a semester in one of the two British universities may not spend a second semester in the other British university, i.e. students may choose a mobility track comprising either Saint Andrews or Sheffield, but not both.
Which courses to combine, at which Universities, and in which progression?
Remember: each University has its own perspective on the common theme (Crossways) and the overarching agenda (discovering the meaning of being European).
